Happy 50th Birthday, Singapore !

There have been lots of changes since i was born.

MRT system got old, we got more buildings, more people around this little piece of land.
Life's still rather peaceful, but much more expensive and crowded than when i was younger.

Whatever it is, stay young, prosperous, and Happy 50th birthday, Singapore !

And, of course, thank you, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

Life, so fragile.

Friday afternoon, we received a phone call, got the news of a relative passing away.

Technically, he is considered an uncle to me.

Many years back, he visited my grandma (when she was still around.).

He also attended my grandma funeral, about 6 months ago.

To me, he looked in the pink of health.

When we are young, we attended birthday parties.
When we are youngsters, we attended wedding parties.
When we gets older, we attend funerals.

Life's really fragile.

Generous Boss ; Stingy Boss.

Last year May, the company organized an oversea trip to Australia.

It was my first time to Australia.

The cold weather, and nice scenery.

Memories.

Today, came across this news article.
"Chinese billionaire takes 6,400 staff on holiday to Paris and Cote d'Azur - and top it off by making world's longest human chain."

WOW !

Rumored to be a 2 years once event.
Maybe i should just 'forward' this article to my management, as a "HINT" that we need another oversea trip this year. HAHA !

Meanwhile, Tiens Group, your Singapore company leave a job opportunity for me ya ?

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Take from the news article on 15 April 2015 : The worst-case scenario for Singapore: Temperatures exceeding 34°C could become a norm by the period of 2070 to 2099, according to findings from the Second National Climate Change Study.

" Oh No ! " Was the first thought.

And the movie scenes appears in the mind...

Climate change, higher temperature, sea level rising.

I remembered back in school, we were taught the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle".
Do you recall ?

If we each do our very small part to help........

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.

This may sound childish, but i think we need Captain Planet now.

"The power is yours."
