My unusual feelings towards Snails...

Snail.

As according to Wikipedia, due to its slowness, the snail has traditionally been seen as a symbol of laziness.

However, personally, i find it is a creature having very great determination!
It may be moving slowly, takes up tons of time to reach its target/destination.. it doesn't give up easily and carried on moving.

That's what i called : Determination!

It was raining for the past few morning, and when i was walking towards the pickup point of the company's transport one morning.......

Nothing much about this tree, right?

Walked closer, and i found a snail !!

(Laugh at me) I stood there and watched it climbed slowly up the tree bark. =)
I am very amazed at how it can travel from the pavement, onto the grass, and up the tree bark, with its "home". (the shell on its back)

And i went Youtube to find more videos..

The "Ugly Duckling" - Snails version

And (inserts the girls screaming) 周杰倫 - 蝸牛

With this, i want to say sorry to the few snails i accidentally stepped on. *Bows sorry*
Now people, slow down at times to check for them and also, dont be too stressed !

Life is stressful enough, it is better to slow down sometimes to take a look at the little creatures or happenings around you.

Snails, i salute you! =)

Penang Trip 30 Apr to 2 May 2010

Day 1
With excitement, we took off from Changi Airpot, to Penang Airport (an hour flight), reaching about noon time. A mini bus brought us to George Town, checked in to hotel, and we walked around.

We had lunch, at this Teo Cheow restaurant. Tried their Teo Cheow Laksa, it was not bad !

Saw this interesting craving on a pole along the road..

And we bumped into Jay Chou! HAHA!!

Someone actually made his car into the 'look-alike' in Initial D. =)

After walking around, with some tidbits and drinks we bought back to hotel as supper, its dinner time! =)

Want to know what's for supper ??

Food from roadside stalls, just around the hotel ! Chicken wings, oyster omelette, satays... *yum*

Day 2
Day 2 was a guided city tour.

The Goddess of Mercy Temple was the first stop, then to Fort Cornwallis.

We visited Hock Teik Cheng Sin Temple, the tour guide mentioned it was being built without using a single nail. WOW~

Then we headed to Pinang Peranakan Mansion for a guided tour of the place where the local drama Little Nonya was using for the drama.

There were so much to take pictures, i had to squeeze everything into one picture. =)

The guide brought us to the side of the mansion, where they placed their ancestors.

And we even saw bats hanging at the ceilings! Can even hear their 'squeak' sounds.. How interesting ? =)

We then had lunch at a famous char kway teow stall, an auntie is doing the cooking, and they cooked with charcoals. =)

After lunch, we were brought to Kek Lok Si (极乐寺)
It had a 30.2m bronze statue of the Guan Yin. WOW!

We then visited Dharmikarama Burmese Temple.. a Burmese temple, with the building being nicely done.

Beside it was Wat Chayamankalaram, having the world’s third largest reclining Buddha which measures 33 metres in length.

After the guided tour, it was almost late afternoon. Headed back to hotel room, for a little wash up, then the search for dinner~ =)

It was a nonya restaurant, so good, it made all of the hungry stomachs so full! =)

Day 3 (Go back day)
Our flight was afternoon timing. We only managed to work around at some nearby areas.

But before heading to Penang airport, we stopped a while at a bridge, facing Penang bridge.

See how nice Penang bridge is? =)

And we bumped into someone familiar at the airport!

Fun trip !! If you have not been to Penang, you should go! =D
