The past week, full of events.

Credits for a Facebook Page called Welcome the World for the round up happenings in the week, with a picture.

BOSTON, US: 2 explosions were heard when runners were reaching the finishing line of the Boston Marathon 2013. Three people were killed in the terror act and resulted in more than 175 injured. The FBI then released photos of the two suspects a few days later. Shortly after the FBI released a few updated photos of the suspects, a shootout was reported at the MIT campus - a security policeman was shot dead at the scene. The suspects then hijacked a car and was involved in a car chase with the local police force. Gunfire was exchanged, but at that point of time, the police didn't think that the two suspects were actually the two mastermind behind the Boston Marathon bombing. They were soon found out to be brothers and 1 was shot dead during the car chase. Another however managed to escape which then prompted the police to shut down the entire town of Boston for the manhunt. 24 hours into the manhunt, the suspect - 19 years old, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was caught after a resident informed the police that they have seen blood stains near his boat at the backyard.

TEXAS, US: A day after the bombing at the Boston Marathon, a huge explosion went off at a plant in Texas. As of date, 14 people were confirmed dead, with some others still uncounted for. The explosion other injured 200 others.

DELHI, INDIA: Protesters shouted and demonstrated anti-government banners and posters after a 5 years old girl was gang raped. This was the latest news followed by the few gang-raped incidents reported in India in the past 4 months. The girl's condition is currently stable and the suspect was caught.

CHINA: H7N9 Bird Flu has increased to 96 cases (as of date). Major China cities have too closed their live poultry farms to limit the spread of the new virus. New deaths have been reported this week which thus brought the total to 18 deaths. There was however no evidence of human-to-human transmission yet.

HONG KONG: Uprising Hong Kong singer, Sita Chan, died in a car crash on early hours of Wednesday. She has recently won the TVB best new female singer award in January this year. Hong Kong celebrities also took to social media on Wednesday to express grief and shock.

SINGAPORE: Veteran actor, Huang Wen Yong, passed away in early evening on Saturday. He has been in and out of hospital over the past few months after viewers have noticed him becoming skinnier during a ceremony late last year. He has recently appeared on Toggle to reassure fans that he is recovering and hope to return to the industry soon. The sudden news caught many by surprise, with many local celebrities describing his death as a great loss to the Singapore television industry.

Just to comment on a few of them....

Prayers for the people of Boston, good thing, the suspects are already being caught.
The bomb seems to just come out of nowhere, without any alerts or warnings..

Terrible.

========

China, has 96 cases of H7N9 and death of 18.
Although there is still no proven evidence of human-to-human transmission, i think we all should be careful too.

Harmless looking they are, but deadly viruses they spread.
