Have you got these app ?

Recently there has been few advertisement on mobile apps, for chatting, did you notice ?

Firstly, i saw Line.

Yes the one, with handsome guy, Siwon. (Scream, ladies!)

The one one that i saw on television recently is Wechat.

For this advertisement, they managed to find Rainie Yang, and  Show Luo...

I have both applications on my phone.
Personally i like Line more, due to its cute pictures of Rabbits, and Bears.. haha! And of course, the "free call" function !!
With this function, we can use the internet to chat with the other party, who is also having the app. ^^

However, i think more people are using Wechat this few days, as i already got quite a few friends, doing so.

Which one do you like?

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

Anyway, ending this post with another version of Wechat advertisement.
And a touching one.

Cheers !

The past week, full of events.

Credits for a Facebook Page called Welcome the World for the round up happenings in the week, with a picture.

BOSTON, US: 2 explosions were heard when runners were reaching the finishing line of the Boston Marathon 2013. Three people were killed in the terror act and resulted in more than 175 injured. The FBI then released photos of the two suspects a few days later. Shortly after the FBI released a few updated photos of the suspects, a shootout was reported at the MIT campus - a security policeman was shot dead at the scene. The suspects then hijacked a car and was involved in a car chase with the local police force. Gunfire was exchanged, but at that point of time, the police didn't think that the two suspects were actually the two mastermind behind the Boston Marathon bombing. They were soon found out to be brothers and 1 was shot dead during the car chase. Another however managed to escape which then prompted the police to shut down the entire town of Boston for the manhunt. 24 hours into the manhunt, the suspect - 19 years old, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was caught after a resident informed the police that they have seen blood stains near his boat at the backyard.

TEXAS, US: A day after the bombing at the Boston Marathon, a huge explosion went off at a plant in Texas. As of date, 14 people were confirmed dead, with some others still uncounted for. The explosion other injured 200 others.

DELHI, INDIA: Protesters shouted and demonstrated anti-government banners and posters after a 5 years old girl was gang raped. This was the latest news followed by the few gang-raped incidents reported in India in the past 4 months. The girl's condition is currently stable and the suspect was caught.

CHINA: H7N9 Bird Flu has increased to 96 cases (as of date). Major China cities have too closed their live poultry farms to limit the spread of the new virus. New deaths have been reported this week which thus brought the total to 18 deaths. There was however no evidence of human-to-human transmission yet.

HONG KONG: Uprising Hong Kong singer, Sita Chan, died in a car crash on early hours of Wednesday. She has recently won the TVB best new female singer award in January this year. Hong Kong celebrities also took to social media on Wednesday to express grief and shock.

SINGAPORE: Veteran actor, Huang Wen Yong, passed away in early evening on Saturday. He has been in and out of hospital over the past few months after viewers have noticed him becoming skinnier during a ceremony late last year. He has recently appeared on Toggle to reassure fans that he is recovering and hope to return to the industry soon. The sudden news caught many by surprise, with many local celebrities describing his death as a great loss to the Singapore television industry.

========

Just to comment on a few of them....

Prayers for the people of Boston, good thing, the suspects are already being caught.
The bomb seems to just come out of nowhere, without any alerts or warnings..

Terrible.

========

China, has 96 cases of H7N9 and death of 18.
Although there is still no proven evidence of human-to-human transmission, i think we all should be careful too.

Harmless looking they are, but deadly viruses they spread.

========

So many happenings.
The one that was so close to us was of passing away of Huang Wen Yong.

He was the Veteran MediaCorp artiste that people like myself, will know him.
There was just so many dramas that he acted in..

He was also the Fortune God too..

The drama i remembered him as, was The Awakening (雾锁南洋)
Huang Wenyong as "Ah Shui" and Xiang Yun as "Ah Mei"

He was 60.

R.I.P.   Huang Wen Yong

========

Let's hope for a better week ahead.
Prayers.

What is Gwiyomi ?

Gwiyomi.

What is this anyway ?
According to Wikipedia, The Gwiyomi song, or Kiyomi song (귀요미송), is a K-pop single by the South Korean indie musician Hari.[1] The song was released on February 18, 2013 and is based on an Internet meme known as the Gwiyomi Player, which was invented in October 2012 by the K-pop idol Jung Il Hoon and has inspired many similar versions uploaded onto the Internet by Asian netizens.

The song goes like this..

Like the previous Gangnam Style, many people also started their own version of this song.

A girl tried to speed up the process...

And for someone, it was a nightmare !!

So, are you doing your own version of it, soon? =P

GI JOE 2 Retaliation

Hello All !
Are you still with me in this full of dust blog?

Work was busy (Being quarter end, again) and therefore a lack of updates. =)

Luckily, it was a super long weekends, with Friday, being a public holiday, Good Friday.

Today, being Saturday, met up with my friends, for a movie.

We watched GI JOE 2 Retaliation.

Was actually looking forward to it, as it seems a full action packed movie.
The actions are there, i admit, but not the story.
It could be me, i cant seem to link the flow of the story, after the show ended... can you? =)

I watched G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra before, if i did not remember wrongly, the characters were able to run and fly, with the help of a suit they wore. (Sounds like Ironman)

It was a bit of out of logic, but still, enjoyed the fighting, and the "unlimited bullets". =P

Universal Studio Singapore 2 Mar 2013

I finally got the chance to visit Universal Studio Singapore last sat...!!

I was not the super adventurous type, who played all the rides. (I took a few..)

Of course, i took the Transformer Ride !! (My Favourite !)

Trying to be brave, i took the Battlestar Galactica, but only took the red one. HAHA!!

If you have not been there before, here's how it feels.. or rather looked like....

My limit, was the red one. =D

Bumped into Kungfu Panda.. ! =P

And Shrek And Fiona... ! =P

And this very old fashion police car along the road...

In between, it started to rain. Sadly, i also missed the live show at The Water World, due to the rain.

Luckily, i came, well prepared. =)

Mr Ong Teng Cheong (22 January 1936 - 8 February 2002)

Dear Mr Ong Teng Cheong,

8 Feb.
You been away for 11 years.
Hope you are doing well up above the sky.

"I am satisfied with what I did. I hope it was all for the best. I was elected to do a job. And I had to do that job whether the government — or anyone else — liked it or not. Even as a minister, I was never afraid of doing something that my cabinet colleagues disagreed with." - Ong Teng Cheong, who passed away today, 11 years ago.

I hope you are watching how Singapore is going at the moment, and can help her.

Give a sign.

Filling 1 Litre water into a 500ml water bottle.

Last week. there was a news article about the Government, with plans to have our population to 6.9 million by 2030...

And the next few days, there were articles of reclaiming the land.. new mrt routes.. better health planning..

From the way it looks, the 2 x following pictures might really come true.. ?

On Friday, someone wrote an article on Yahoo.sg, on his views of increasing population to 7 million.
A big big NO, was being reflected in that article.

I think most of us would also think so..

My personal encounters on our public transport was also frustrating.
Let me share, my personal experience (photos), on my way home, and to work.

1) This is a very common situation when i go to work. (Yes, i don't own a car, with the almost SGD 100k COE price), often, or rather on many occasions, we are being forced to squeeze ourself, onto that bus, in order to report on time for work.
This also occur during the knock off timing.

2) This is also another common scene we often see, everyday, on our MRT platform.
The platform, overcrowded, and trains being delayed.
My personal experience, the next train to arrive 3 mins later, i stood there for 10 mins, no train arrived, and the crowds just keep coming in.

And then, you would say, why dont we go home at a later timing, or go to work at an earlier timing ?

For me, if there is chance to sleep for that extra 5 mins, i would do so. (let me know if you wont.)

As for going home, at a later timing?

Check out my next photo.

Guess what time is this?
It was 11+pm in the night.
I was still being squeezed to the corner of the door area..

Let's see, now there is about 5.3 million people here, i will experience such situation....
How will it be like with 6.9 million population ?

It's not only about the transport.. the housing.. the medical.. having more people to fight for that one job...

Singapore is getting more stressful.

Only one expression.
