The Good Beer Company of Chinatown Complex Food Centre

That night, a few of us twitter friends gathered up at The Good Beer Company at Chinatown Complex Food Centre.

Located at Blk 335 Smith Street #02-58 Chinatown Complex, Singapore, Singapore 050335 , it was a great hang out for beer lovers..  as they are selling a range of premium and craft beers and ciders..

Beside it was a stall that had this very nice garlic steam fishhead..


And with my favourite claypot rice from another nearby stall...


The four of us, were so full !! =)

However this did not stop us from having the beer there.
Personally i took two. ( So little right? )





If you are interested in beer and would like to try out the many different kinds of beer they have...
Do gather a few friends and head over to Chinatown !

Christmas mood..

Let's get into the Christmas mood, its less than a month already ! =P

BookFest 2011

After sleeping half an Saturday away, i headed out with my friends, to Suntec City for BookFest 2011. 

It was an event by Popular, therefore there were books, and also stationary being on sale.

Was there last year, already expected the crowd, but this time was there on a Mission. 

It was really crowded that baskets for us to put what we wanted to buy were all being used up. (WOW.)

Saw this GIANT eraser, but then later found out it was actually the outer box for the smaller pieces of eraser.

 

And also this robot (Sorry i dont know what is this...), it was being displayed at the area selling some robot toys..

And after an almost 3 hours walking around the halls.. and 1 hour queuing to do the payment... these was what i bought. 

To reward ourself, we had 擂茶 for dinner !!

And, what was the Mission i was talking about ?

It was this !

It was a great deal, going at SGD 5.90 ! (",)v

And while queuing to do the payment, i did catch a glimpse of the author : Giddens, 九把刀 who was there on stage.. =)

It's been a busy week, feel so sleepy and tired, i slept half the Saturday away! =P

Penny Dai, one of my favourite singer and songwriter, has a new song !

Named, 光著我的腳ㄚ子, it also can be translated into "Baring My Feet". How comfortable it is to bear your feet and walk on the grass ? Come to think of it, nowadays do out kids or even ourself have more interaction with the nature?

Everyday, what we see are, concrete walls. =)

I feel her songs and her singing are really comfortable to listen to and you can just keep repeating it.

Taiwan Pineapple Shortcake in Singapore

Have you even eaten 鳳梨酥 or Pineapple Shortcakes from Taiwan?

They are nicely packed, a great gift for friends and relatives.
I also bought some while i visited Taiwan in July this year..

Today, while surfing around on Youtube, i came across this video.



It seems like Taiwan Pineapple Shortcakes are available in Singapore's Raffles Hotel !

My first thought : having a store at this place, the rental must be expensive and therefore the price of the items too.
Anyway, hope to see more Taiwan food here!

那些年，我们一起追的女孩 after movie review.

After the post in September, i finally watched this movie today !

Reminded me of the school days..

Reminded us not to miss out the chance to confess to someone you like..

If time can go back in the movie, im hope the male character will confess to the female character, openly.. 

My favourite line :
我一直以為我自己是個超有自信的人，但那時我才發現，原來在喜歡的女孩面前，我是個膽小鬼。。。
(In English) "I always thought I was a super-confident person, but then I found, in front of the girl i like, I am a coward. . . "

R.I.P 許冠英, Ricky Hui

HK comedy veteran Ricky Hui dies at 65 - Channel NewsAsia

Ricky Hui or 許冠英 passed away on the 8 November 2011, of a heart attack.



He was the blur, yet cute guy beside the Lam Ching-ying (林正英), who played the Master in 殭屍先生.
Lam died in 1997 of liver cancer, and also on 8 November. 

RIP, to both.

It seems like many of the stars of my generation or whom i know are dead. 

I am sad.

It is that time again..

It is that time again..

What time, you might be wondering??

Christmas, of course!!! =D




Christmas was made all the more special by the mysterious visit of this big friendly old man in red who would leave a sack full of presents.

But then, Mr Santa Claus, Singapore got no chimmy for you to climb into, would you mind using the rubbish chute Main Door ? =P

Anyway, usually i would buy myself a Christmas present for myself, almost every year..
Two years ago, i got myself an iphone 3Gs, but it broke down after a year plus, due to me, partially. (Post Here)

Since my mobile contract expires December 2011, time to get myself a new phone.

What should i get?
