Hi my dear friends, how are you doing?
I started my new work.
Since im new, therefore i had to do reading and training of the work, of how the office work.
*Stressed*
Anyway, after about a week of using my android phone.. (and some of ya commented to ask me to try to do a review) i can say: its good! =)
It feels so much like the iphone 3GS i was using previously(it is also the same to unlock it - swipe finger from left to right), so getting use to it was not much of any difficulties. =)
The main screen of the phone.
And to go into the page of all apps on the phone, you press the blue icon, on bottom right button.

There you go, main screen!

And a cool feature i love: is when you try to swipe your thumb and index finger together, it changes into this multi-pages screen! And to go to the page you want to go, you can just tap onto it! (instead of swiping it left or right.)

Another cool feature i like: the so called 'task manager'. To activate it, swipe finger from top to bottom.
You can find the missed calls, sms you got.. and buttons to active the 'bluetooth', ' wifi' and such. =)
The pictures quality you might ask?
Share some photos i took with this phone..
My Domo.
The photos turned out quite decent, to me
Their Applications?

And like the Apple ''App Store''.. Android also have their ''Android Market''.
There are paid ones, and free ones.. games.. social media tools.. so much more! =)
Share with you a video.
Check out their review here.
Of course, there are still so many things to explore on this phone.. any tips and tricks you know of?
=)

Joined the Android family
Hello dear friends!
Since my iphone was down, i had been considering to buy an Android phone.
And i finally did it!!
Got myself the Samsung Galaxy Ace.
I got the black colour version. =)
The specs are:
This model is a mid-range smartphone. (Budget phone, actually)
Overall, it feels and looks like an iphone in disguise.
The Android software is nice and simple to use too!!
(And of course, their logo, cute!)
One weird thing i found out is that, the alarm does not sound off when the phone is off.. (my previous nokia E63 can!)
HAHA!
I better standby an alarm clock tonight, before sleep. =)

Throwing away the old memories.
Hi all, just to inform, i sold my iphone away!
Shall buy another new android phone? =(
Anyway, it was bed sheet washing day for the house over the weekends.
Mum suggested me to wash the pillow with my name being sewn onto it (by my ex girlfriend,as an birthday present..), even though it was not very professionally sewed, it was the thoughts that count.
But then, after a round in the washing machine, all the lettering came off !
It became..
THIS!
Ok, time to let go of the old memories 10 years ago.
She is getting married too. All the best to her!! =)
* * * * * * * *
Wanted a breakfast and a walkabout with a friend, in Queenstown food centre, yesterday, but discovered it was being closed down!
The shops beside the Queenstown MRT were all closed too!
A little memory of the Queenstown Bowl and the Food centre along Margaret Drive, too bad i was only there once, for the western food.
Any friends have any idea where it or the rest of the stores shifted to?
Email/sms me can?
Since it was closed down, we decided to change the venue to Chinatown area.
The view of the sky..
The ''cooling effect''..
Something for the Tin Tin fans!
Last picture of a dustbin.
" Throw away the old memories, and move forward. "
Shall end with a song i'm currently addicted to.
Thank you for reading. =)

Jackie Chan dead hoax
"RIP Jackie Chan" was trending on Twitter today.
Went in search of this news, and from this website.
"OH NO!" was my first thought!
He is my idol, i love him and his movie!
I have not shake hand with him yet somemore!!
How can this be?
But then, on the website i saw, typo mistakes.. hmm.. hmm..(Please click to see bigger picture)
But then it turn out, it was a hoax.
*Sigh of relief*
Boring people spreading false news.
NOT FUNNY, lo...

Collected my iphone back
After a year, my iphone started to have problems.
It self drains itself within 5hours (even though i was not using it.)
Since it was out of the 1 year warranty.. and the official Apple stores quoted me SGD 350 for a 1-to-1 exchange, i decided to find a repair man.
He helped me to change the battery, but it was still not working well. Therefore i went back to him, again, and he said he will have to test out on other parts of the phone.
After a month, the repair guy was saying he suspected it could be the motherboard of the phone, having problems, but was not confident of which one is it, therefore he could not repair it.
He suggested to change a motherboard, quoted me SGD 500, for it. (Duhs!)
For this price, i could have gotten a second hand smartphone to use.
Thus, I collected my iphone (So called 'body') back.
My suggestions for my iphone friends:
Am going to give it another chance to prove that it can still work, with the help of my external battery charger.
I must admit that it is a great phone to use, but rather troublesome when it starts to have problems.. Might have to change to "Orange" smartphone next time then..
Let's see how it goes?

- Spend another SGD 99.00, for another year of Applecare protection.
- Don't buy cheapo handphone charger!!! (I suspect this might be the cause of the problem, read my personal charger explosion experience HERE)

The ''Cultured'' Samantha from Holland Village
Few days back, a caller named "Samantha" from Holland Village called in to Radio 91.3.
She was saying people in Holland Village are cultured, and those from the heartlands, those from Toa Payoh, AMK, Bukit Batok(which is where i am!) are not, and should stay in their own area.
She mentioned, we (from the heartlanders) dressed in slippers, shorts and singlets.. and talks loudly in Holland Village.
Personally i go to Holland Village often, reason being it's the nearest from my house, and of course for the food and pubs.
I see nothing wrong with the place, but maybe see problems in the girl's mind/thinking.
You can listen to what she said over HERE.
And i think many people are being angry or upset, over these remarks, and an event of ''1,000 peeps to Holland V in Singlets, Shorts and Slippers Day" was being organized on the Saturday, 9 April 2011 · 11:00am - 12:00pm.

The Secret Agent
Not the ''007'' in James Bond.
Not the ''Ethan Hunt'' in Mission Impossible, also.
I'm referring to the Recruitment Agent or Recruitment Consultant. The one that can bring you job opportunities for that job you looking out for.
I met some who laughed (directly on the phone) when i told them the reasons of quitting my job, some 'super on' type, like below....
*No names or particular recruitment agency named*
Last week, i got a call from an agent from a particular recruitment agency.
She called me on my mobile, did some 'phone interview' and i mentioned i am fine to apply the position she offered.
Call ended. (Yeah, another job opportunity, i thought..)
I went to bathe.. and when i came out of the bathroom, my father was on the house phone, and saying someone was looking for me. (It had been years since i had someone calling me on the house phone, usually my friends call my mobile.)
It was her again!
She actually called my house phone, as i did not pick up my mobile. Therefore, i talked to her, still in my towel, for another 5 minutes or so.. (-__-")
And as usual, i went to switch on my laptop, and saw her emails!
All this tasks, within 15 minutes.
Wow right?
After that, i start to imagine how she looked like.
She could be like my idol: Michelle Yeoh ?
And today, i finally meet her, and of course, with the previous super tasks in 15 minutes. She did it again today.
Was supposed to meet her at 10am. The actual interview at 11am.
At 9:50am, she called me.
She: Hi Hong Wei, you remember to meet me first before the interview?
Me: Hi, yup, im on the way. Reaching soon.
She: Wah? So fast?
Me: -___-"
While we met, we discuss about the job and things. And it was rather rushing as i actually left her office, at 10:45am!
Luckily the interview place was nearby, but the blur Hong Wei, took a wrong turn and lost the way!! Oops!
As i was late, she called again.
She: Hong Wei, where are you? (as i picked up the call)
Me: Sorry i took a wrong turn, i think i lost the way...
She: Why you did not call me? Where are you.. where are you? (so anxiously)
Me: I'm at xxx, i found the way, walking over now..
She: (shouted) its just opposite my office, lah!
Very seldom, i scold people. However what she just said, almost made me snap.
Me: Hi, why are you so rude on the phone? I almost scolded you ok?
She: (toned down) Ok, you see the xxx building, its actually there.. good luck ok?
Me: Oh... ok..
And, we hanged the phone, and i went for the interview.
After the interview, i went for my lunch.. And she called again!!
This time to ask what was being asked during the interview..
(-___________-")
Result, she is actually Trinity from Matrix:
Can appear anywhere, call anytime, and track you down!
And also after this, i feel that she is more concern about whether she can get the commission after me getting the job rather than concern about a guy who is out of job for quite some time..
Or she wanted to become my girlfriend? LoL
How do you think?
And the job search continues... *bites teeth*

Where is your price tag?
Everyone has a price tag (number, ranking), labeled to you.
Why?
Working people, we compared the salary, bonus received.
Studying students, we compared the results.
In market, housewives compared which store is more affordable.
We compared the car model we drove.
We compared the mobile phone we bought.
By the way, when one is out of job (still), and how much is left in the bank is so crucial... So nice, someone suddenly email you that you got XXX billions of money to claim..
A gentle reminder: although MONEY is important, do not fall into scam email tricks ok?
If some day you receive an email like this..
Or this...
Take Note!!!!
MONEY don't come into your email accounts, so easily!
Think about it this way, isn't it better that they send boxes of cash over to your doorstep straight?? =D
Be careful, my friends.
And, We just wanna make the world dance, Forget about the Price Tag..

Okay, Coconut man, Moon Heads and Pea
You ready
Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
When the sale comes first,
And the truth comes second,
Just stop, for a minute and
Smile
Why is everybody so serious
Acting so damn mysterious
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (ha)
Can you feel that (yeah)
We're paying with love tonight
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag
Ain't about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Aint about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
Okay!
We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all unite
And it wasn't low blows and video hoes,
Am I the only one getting tired
Why is everybody so obsessed
Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
Guarantee we'll be feeling Alright.
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (ha)
Can you feel that (yeah)
We're paying with love tonight

[B.o.B]
Yeah yeah
Well, keep the price tag
And take the cash back
Just give me six strings and a half stACK.
And you can keep the cars
Leave me the garage
And all I..
Yes all I need are keys and guitars
And its with in 30 seconds I'm leaving to Mars
Yeah we leaping across these undefeatable odds
Its like this man, you can't put a price on the life
We do this for the love so we fight and sacrifice everynight
So we aint gon stumble and fall never
Waiting to see this in the sign of defeat uh uh
So we gon keep everyone moving their feet
So bring back the beat and then everyone sing
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money

Yeah, yeah
Oo-oooh
Forget about the price tag.
