Hello all my friends!
Today i went for a SPCA fun run event at MacRitchie Reservoir. It was a 4.8km run with most of them in the forest area (as a result: my shoes got dirty) but overall, it was fun and i am looking forward to the next upcoming run, which is in Sept. =)
Rachel was there too ! =)
Get to know Meyinn, Rachel's friend. =)

Some of you maybe wondering, how come recently Hong Wei is not been regularly on Twitter, Facebook, or even write something on his blog ?
Just want to tell you : It was a very busy period for me.
Firstly, my current company is going through a acquisition and there are many things (paperwork, our new appoointment, etc..) needed to be done.
I am still amazed & disappointed that the new company gave me an Admin Assistant post (ARGH)
The other thing that really is getting onto me is : my grandma being hospitalized.
She started with a pain in the leg area, and then last week it turned into a backpain too.. till now she is still staying there, resting.
I hope she get better, and be back home soon.
Thank you all friends and colleagues who knows about this matter, and trying their best to cheer me up.
I just want to say : Thank you!
Shall update again, soon.
Take care, everyone!

Gathering, and goodies..
Managed to gather the primary school classmates on Thurday!
We went Din Tai Fung at Jurong Point, my first time there.
Food was nice, especially the Xiao Long Bao ! =)
We chatted alot, and many catching up, the last gathering was like a year ago?
And then, we came out with another page of to-do-list.. (haha!)
Just wondering how many we can do..? lol
The boys, and girl. =)
* * * * * * * *
And today, my friend and i went all the way, taking the Circle Line to Bartley, to collect goodies bag from SPCA.
After this, we went to Jurong Point, Swensens for lunch.
The main course : Breaded Chicken Meuniere
My desserts : Coit Tower
Curious to know, whats in the goodies bag ? =P
Look at the amount of goodies in it!
Personally, i like the little info card they gave...
The front of the card..
The back..
Conclusion : Be Kind to Animals.

Think, before buying the bottled water.
Something KeWei shared on Facebook.
I feel we should give some thoughts to it, and think, before buying the bottled water.
The Story of Bottled Water, released on March 22, 2010 (World Water Day) employs the Story of Stuff style to tell the story of manufactured demand—how you get Americans to buy more than half a billion bottles of water every week when it already flows from the tap. Over five minutes, the film explores the bottled water industrys attacks on tap water and its use of seductive, environmental-themed advertising to cover up the mountains of plastic waste it produces. The film concludes with a call to take back the tap, not only by making a personal commitment to avoid bottled water, but by supporting investments in clean, available tap water for all.
Our production partners on the bottled water film include five leading sustainability groups: Corporate Accountability International, Environmental Working Group, Food & Water Watch, Pacific Institute, and Polaris Institute.
And, for all you fact checkers out there, http://storyofstuff.org/pdfs/StoryOfBottledWater_pdfs.zip

Have you been to the Orchard River ?
Are you aware of floods in Orchard area this morning ?
It became Orchard River today.
This is the first time i hear floods in Orchard. At first i was thinking the pictures might be photo-shopped..
" Orchard, flooded? Sure anot..? " I thought..
And thank you to my Twitter friends !
Information are being sent out so fast nowadays.. =)
A view from inside a car. Saw ION ?
The front area of Ngee Ann City.
Did they check the 2 lion statues ah ? They might drink the dirty waters leh...
Look at the height of the water!
Starbucks, your coffee flow out of the shop already..
My dear Wendy, where are you !!!
We should go find if any branded bags or clothes still floating around..? =P
The poor people there!
In 1999, a TNP writer said that "Orchard Road will never flood"
It mentioned : It can empty an Olympic-sized pool before your cup of latte has time to cool.
WAH!
We just can't go against the Nature.
This song should be very appropriate these few days.. =)

The buzz buzz Vuvuzela...
For most of you, who's been following the Worldcup, i'm sure you know this stadium horn you been hearing since the first match. =)
It's call the Vuvuzela.
From Wiki, is a blowing horn up to approximately 1 m (3 ft 3 in) in length, commonly blown by fans at football matches in South Africa.
The first match, which was being aired 'Free" by TV, was the first time i hear them. At first, i thought my TV got problem! Haha.. i even switch channels to further confirm. oops !
But then, personally i'm irritated by it. =)
And i think FIFA is not banning it (yet).. ?

Oh well, meanwhile, happy buzzing the Worldcup and enjoy the following clip !

The time without Twitter.. I surf YouTube!
Its the start of the Worldcup!
The opening match between South Africa and Mexico, was the only match i watched so far.. I did not subscribe to the cable channels.( It was SGD90 for Worldcup channel! )
But thank you to Twitter, i can still know what's happening for the Worldcup.. But still, must be the overflow of it, that leads to an "old friend" of mine to greet me again.*It just appeared, again*
The Fail Whale of Twitter.
It is an illustration of red birds using a net to hoist a whale from the ocean along with the text, which means the website is 'overloaded'. *Yawnz*
Oh well, so i surf YouTube, trying to find something to entertain myself..
This Taiwan's 全民最大党 is so funny!
Let me share with you, an episode of Singer Harlem Yu.
Part 1/5
Part 2/5
Part 3/5
Part 4/5
Part 5/5
Hope these series can bring some laughter to you!

Sunday curious tour to Marina Bay Sands..
Being curious, i went over to the highly anticipated Marina Bay Sands.
Took a picture, before walking further..
A little walk into the The Helix Bridge..
Nicely designed, but done halfway.*Slightly Disappointed*
(It ended halfway, then i have to walk onto the side pavement, which was directly beside the road..)
It links up to the Marina Bay Sands..
* * * * * * * *
Now for the interior of the building.
It was so crowded with people, although most shops are not opened yet. After which i found out from my Twitter friends, there was actually Super Junior from Korea (Sorry.. Sorry...), and a Singtel, Samsung event going on..
The shopping area..
The hotel area..
Personally i love the design of it !
Happened to walk past, and there was a performance going on.
Nice music, they played. =)
Overall, personally, if you want to see the 'final product' of the place, go end of the year, or even later.
And something i really have to remind to people.
Be careful of the 'little traps' while walking The Helix Bridge.
This is the 'little trap' i referring to.. I keep tripping over this this thing..
Anyone knows what is this? =)

My unusual feelings towards Snails...
Snail.
As according to Wikipedia, due to its slowness, the snail has traditionally been seen as a symbol of laziness.
However, personally, i find it is a creature having very great determination!
It may be moving slowly, takes up tons of time to reach its target/destination.. it doesn't give up easily and carried on moving.
That's what i called : Determination!
It was raining for the past few morning, and when i was walking towards the pickup point of the company's transport one morning.......
Nothing much about this tree, right?
Walked closer, and i found a snail !!
(Laugh at me) I stood there and watched it climbed slowly up the tree bark. =)
I am very amazed at how it can travel from the pavement, onto the grass, and up the tree bark, with its "home". (the shell on its back)
And i went Youtube to find more videos..
The "Ugly Duckling" - Snails version
And (inserts the girls screaming) 周杰倫 - 蝸牛
With this, i want to say sorry to the few snails i accidentally stepped on. *Bows sorry*
Now people, slow down at times to check for them and also, dont be too stressed !
Life is stressful enough, it is better to slow down sometimes to take a look at the little creatures or happenings around you.
Snails, i salute you! =)
