Happy Valentine's Day!

Ever since i got dumped many years ago, i have been single since then.
Honestly, i dont like Valentine's Day. =)

While the usual khakis are either with the boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband. I stayed home.
(Ok, i did TRY to ask someone out, but FAIL. LoL)

Thats why my facebook status is: "V Day for me should be spent inside ktv room. Others outside hold hands, me screaming inside room. Yeah!"

Put in in a funnier way for myself, actually makes me feel abit better.

And if i am at ktv, the first song i sing, shall be this.

=)

And this!!

=P

By the way, someone on Twitter mentioned today is also #SingleAwarenessDay, short form - SAD. (Boo!)

But still, Happy Valentine's Day, my dear friends!

Sentosa Flowers Event on 5 Feb 2011 (Day 3 of CNY)

Hello all!
How was Chinese New Year going?
I bet there was tons of eating, and playing going on. =)

For myself, it was almost the same, the usual eat and eat, and guess what im eating now? Strepsils!!! (LOL)
Too much heaty food, abit of cough and sore throat.

Do take care, my friends!

********
Anyway, went to this Sentosa Flowers Event, with my friends, yesterday.
A nice experience, but not liking the super crowds of people, and squeezing.

Some interesting things we saw..

Yes, now you can walk into Sentoa, through the new boardwalk built.

The Entrance

We walked about 700+ metres..

The lolipops tree..

2 rabbits with the Rasa World logo?

The giant Rabbit, that keep turning round and round...

With the M&Ms..

I was thinking of what he was thinking...

I was born at the Year of the Pig! (Others animals were there too!)

The "Rabbit ears" cactus!

The Four Seasons..

And finally, the summary of the flowers i saw..

=)

* Things to be reminded:
- Please bring along bottle of water

'Rent' a partner for Chinese New Year?

Get to know about this article through Facebook, as one of my friend posted a status of :- 'rent' girlfriend of CNY? well, please text me...ha ha ha ha

For a while, i thought she was going to earn some Ang Bao money. LoL

However, after a  few messages being exchanged, she was actually referring to this article from Yahoo.sg.

The title being : Singaporeans ‘rent’ partners for Chinese New Year

It seems that, people are actually getting help from dating agencies, casual friends and even hiring social escorts to pose as romantic partners — for a day, or even a couple of hours!!
They did this to avoid the 'Yearly Question" (in which i am being asked annually too..) of where their partners are..

WAH!!

And to hire an escorts, it can range from S$5,000 to S$20,000 !! O_O

WAH x 10 !

So expensive!!

So sorry i dont have that kind of money, and i shall put on my thinking cap to think of an excuse for this coming Chinese New Year. Hehe! =P

However if you want to make friend with Hong Wei...
小姐, 這是我的名片...
Translation in English: "Hi Miss, This is my name card.."

Dinner at Heaven's Loft with Season of the Witch

It was a gathering of friends for the Jan and Feb babies of the gang.

We decided to check it out, Heaven's Loft at Orchard Central.

The surrounding was nicely decorated, and a great place for gathering of friends.

My friend booked the seat outdoors, or the bar area, in which we were greeted with the natural wind blowing from outside and the live singing.

I had Fish & Chips, and the Ben & Jerry ice-cream as dessert. =)
The food were nicely decorated, however limited(In terms of quantity).

And then, we ended dinner with a group photo!

(But, the more i look at this, the more i feel i'm like the only one without partner..??! HAHA! )

Some of us, went for "Season of the witch" movie by Nicholas Cage, later that night.

Some disgusting scenes, flying effects, wolves becoming "evil wolves".. blah blah..
Overall, it was for Nicolas Cage.. =P

We catch up, joked around, and had great fun!

A bit of stress relieved for me, but still Life must go on.

Old Vs New

As i grow old, i start to think back of the things when i was younger.

Like this song i used to listen to:

Although the very funny kind of dance, when you see this now.. but, after so many years, it is still a classic and i can still remember the lyrics! Haha!!

And also, how many of you remember the little "555 notebook" we used to write things on?
(By the way, are they still available in stationary stores?)
I was telling this to a friend who was few years younger than me, and she did not know what i was talking about! -___-"

Anyway this is called the 555 notebook.

And i guess the Ipad is now the trend..

It is actually a very pocket-sized kind of notebook, with lines and for you to record or write things you want.
It is so portable in our pocket.

I can still recall, using it to record who owns me things or $ when i was in Primary school. Haha!!

And so times flies, we grow up and we don't see such things anymore.

However, as the world moves faster, and people also tend to demand things to move as fast.. each of us also had to move fast, or to move faster so as to keep up.. but, are we also advancing in the right direction?

Do we still have the 好公民 or Moral education lessons in schools nowadays, whereby kids are being taught how to be a better or treat others better? Nowadays the results we obtained appeared (or are) more important than us being taught to be a better person.

Life back then was much simpler.. Agrees?

Back to civilian life

Hello all, Hong Wei is back!! =)
How i missed my iphone.. haha!!
How's everyone doing?

I was away for a week, and of course, work piled up in office.

And my upperstudy can throw work without any advice into my in-tray, expecting me to ''know everything". -____-"

Anyway, its about 2 weeks to Chinese New Year!

So full of excitement but also is the period whereby we spend $.
With no AWS this year, i tend to think twice, or rather thrice when buying things this time around. (have to save up for a rainy day, agree?)

We are left with 2 weeks for spring cleaning and buying the stuff we needed..
Have you done yours?

However 年年难过,年年过...

Be happy everyday!!! =D

Merry Christmas - Part II (The presents!)

Hello all, Happy Boxing Day!

In Singapore, Boxing day is not an official Public Holiday. However i still wish people Happy Boxing day! =P

Information from HERE:
It explains that.. In Britain, Boxing Day is usually celebrated on the following day after Christmas Day, which is 26 December. However, strictly speaking, Boxing Day is the first weekday after Christmas (see definition in the Oxford English Dictionary)

So why is it called Boxing Day?
Traditionally, 26 December was the day to open the Christmas Box to share the contents with the poor.

Anyway, now i want to share with you the Christmas presents i received from my friends and colleagues!

This is before some unwrapping of them..

After unwrapping!
There were chocolates, Christmas cards, sweets, a watch, a keychain.. HAHA~!

And before i forget, a packet of Famous Amos biscuits... yum!

So what did you get for Christmas? =)
